ALBERTO VILLEGAS

LAWYER – PARTNER

Alberto Villegas specializes in Patent and Trademark Law (litigation, mediations, Customs enforcement and Federal Justice), licences and Competition Law.

 

He graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1986, joined G. Breuer in 1987 and is partner since 1997. He is an Industrial Property Agent.

 

He is founder and director of the Argentine Antipiracy Association (ACAA), and member of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, the Asociación Argentina de Agentes de la Propiedad Industrial (AAAPI), and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). He has participated as a lecturer in a variety of seminars and workshops at the Asocación Argentina de Agentes de la Propiedad Industrial, Universidad Argentina de la Empresa, Universidad del Salvador, Universidad de Buenos Aires, the Ministry of National Security and abroad in Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Peru.

 

Academic Activity: He has been a professor of Economy Legislation related to Trademarks and Patents at the Universidad Católica Argentina.

 

Publications: He has published several pieces in specialized magazines, including World Trademark Review “Argentine Customs Wades into the Goods in Transit Debate”.
