New Statistical Portal of the National Trademarks and Patent Office

BY G. BREUER

In 2025, the National Trademark and Patent Office (INPI) launched its new Statistical Portal, a website that provides access to filing and stock information and allows users to visualize and download statistical data from the Office.

This tool enables users to track the monthly and/or annual trends of trademark registrations, patents, industrial models and designs, technology transfers, and more.

Regarding Trademark applications, the portal offers statistics on new trademark filings versus renewals, information about applicants (legal entities vs. individuals), the origin of applicants (domestic vs. foreign), and the most requested products and services.

For Patents, the platform provides insights into applicants (legal entities vs. individuals), the origin of applicants (domestic vs. foreign), the most requested technical fields, and other relevant data.
